If you’re reading this, you may already know me as your favorite physical therapist, or maybe as the founder of Patient PT if you're working with Ali over in Clinic 2. Whether we’ve worked together directly or not, I want to take a moment to share something new and a little bit outside my comfort zone: I’ve started creating educational video content on TikTok... and, yes, I’m (bravely?) reposting to Instagram, too.
Why “How You Move Matters”?
First, let me admit: I never saw myself as a content creator. I’ve spent my career treating patients, listening to their stories, and helping people move with greater confidence, comfort, and joy. Standing in front of a camera is a whole new world for me!
But over the last six years, one thing has stood out again and again—patients are hungry for honest, accessible, and reliable information. They want to understand not only what’s happening, but why. They want actionable, realistic advice that fits into their lives. That’s why I’m launching a new video series called “How You Move Matters.”

From the Clinic to Your Screen
This project is both exciting and humbling. I’m used to one-on-one conversations in a private clinic, not talking to my phone! But my hope is that these videos will be a way for me to help people no matter where they are or what stage of their movement journey they're on.
In each video, I’ll break down common movement myths, answer frequently asked questions, and share practical tips you can use in your everyday life. My goal isn’t just to teach, but to empower people to feel more at home in their bodies and experience less pain. We’ll talk about everything from posture to pain management, and how to tune out all the noise and listen to what your body is telling you.
Why TikTok? Why Now?
Great question! SO many people are searching for health information on social media today. If that’s where the conversation is happening, I want to be there, too—making sure that practical, educational, patient-centered content is part of the mix. (Plus, I’ve secretly had a lot of fun experimenting with video editing, even if it sometimes takes a dozen takes to get it right!)
Join Me on This Journey
So, whether you’re a long-time Patient PT client, a curious friend, or someone who stumbled across my page, I hope you’ll join me. You can find my “How You Move Matters” series on TikTok, and I’ve been reposting them to Instagram and Facebook too. Your feedback, questions, and ideas for future topics are not only welcome—they’re *essential*.
This is a new avenue for me, but my purpose remains the same: to be your partner and advocate in health, and provide you with tools to move—and live—better.
Thank you for choosing Patient PT and for supporting me as I navigate this new adventure. Here’s to learning together, one post at a time!
